See, I cannot act like a hypocrite who would eat almost all fleshes on earth and then talk about animal protection and take glory in being an environmental activist. This isn’t my cup of coffee though there are many who give innumerable reasons to justify their animal protection supporting act with that of flesh-eating. I mean, how? How? Eating beef is fine, but killing a cow isn’t. How come a cow that was once holy when slaughtered became so unholy when eaten?
Well, there are few who will justify flesh eating as maintaining an ecological balance. That’s okay, but then don’t come crying why so much of animal killing and why a few animals are becoming endangered. If you really believe in something stick to it. But, if you too feel for the sufferings of the animals you can take these little steps to protect them;
- Go Vegan
If you really want to protest against animal killing, first you must stop eating them. Trust me being a vegan isn’t bad at all. You just have to intake the right nutritious food in the right amount. - Stop Buying Things Made from Animal Skin or Body Parts
You must know how things are made from animal skins or their body parts, right? You might be aware of the horrendous scenes behind making a crocodile leather purse; so how can you let that happen. - Speak Out Against Injustice
If you see any kind of injustice happening with the animals, even it is something as small as throwing stones at them, do protest. - Recycling is the Key
If you are picking packaged goods, make sure that those items come with no plastic wrap. - Avoid Using Pesticides
Avoid using bug zappers as they kill insects, which are food for birds. - Adopt a Pet Instead of Buying
There are many pet adoption centers from where you can adopt your favorite. It is suggested not to support animal breeders. - Help the Animals in Distress or Wounded
If you find any distressed or wounded animal please stop by to help. - Join the Wildlife Helpers
There are many groups these days, working for the betterment of the animals. If you want to seek out for their help.
